Sometimes work can create stresses that are hard to shake off even after that long day at the office is over. Often we just need to find a fun way to de-stress and have some fun without hitting the piggy bank. Here are some examples of low in not no cost solutions that are close to home.
Chicago Area Bike Trails
DuPage County is full of areas to ride you bike through gorgeous parks and trails. The cost for this is simply a bike (of course), some free time and some sweat while you enjoy going through nature. If you are a serious biker, then maybe one of the larger trails on the DuPage County Trails figure below would suit you.
Great Western Trail
Illinois Prairie Path
The Chicago Lakefront Bike Trail
Though not DuPage County, still a breath-taking ride. Here are a few Lakefront pictures. This bike trail is a beautiful view of Chicago
Sparta - Elroy, Wisconsin
Though not in Chicago, it is within a short drive. Built on an old railroad bed, the trail goes through several old train tunnels. Stay dry!
Now, some of us maybe be looking for activities closer to home. Here are some local parks that are not only a great place to take the kids, but can also provide you with that picnic or walk that can melt the stresses that accumulate throughout your day. Recreational Parks
